You have a story to tell, a story that deserves to be heard. But maybe you need someone at your side as you navigate the next steps to write, revise, & share that story. Evelyn Berry’s been teaching creative writing to adults and young people since 2013 and working one-on-one with clients since 2019 to cultivate creative habits and realize their writing projects from start to finish. She has worked with novelists, poets, musicians, essayists, playwrights, and filmmakers.

Writing Coaching

Writing alone is hard without accountability. Whether you’re drafting your first novel, trudging through a second draft, or finally telling the story of your life, Evelyn Berry is here to guide you through the process. We can meet just once to discuss a thorny problem, or you can hire me on a monthly basis for four sessions per month!

Poetry Feedback

Evelyn Berry offers consultations for poems, as well as partial and full manuscripts of poetry.

Per Poem: $20

Feedback Session: $100

[Includes up to five poems with hour-long Zoom call for feedback and further prompts]

Manuscript Consultation: $500

[For up to 70 pages]

Proofreading & Copyediting

Evelyn will help address spelling, grammatical, and syntactical errors in your work. Proofreading & copyediting is available for fiction & non-fiction only.

Up to 2,000 words: $40

Manuscripts (up to 80,000 words): $800

Publication, Marketing, & Social Media

In these consultations, Evelyn identifies markets through which to publish, assists in the composition of cover letters and query letters, and prepares publication packets for submission. For post-publication projects, Evelyn offers consultations on marketing and branding through social media.

After an initial meeting to create goals, Evelyn will prepare material and provide a one-hour consultation ZOOM call to discuss publishing and marketing options.
